Prof. Dr. Haluk Duman

Born in the vibrant city of Ankara in 1962, he cultivated his early education in the picturesque surroundings of Ordu and Ankara, ultimately graduating from Kuleli Military High School in 1980. That same year marked the beginning of his medical journey as he enrolled at the prestigious Istanbul Un. Medical Faculty. After years of dedicated study and hard work, he proudly graduated from the Gülhane Military Medical Faculty in 1986.
His career commenced with a significant role as the director of the division health branch in Erzurum from 1987 to 1990, where he contributed to improving health services in the region. In 1989, he furthered his professional development by spending six months at the renowned Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA, focusing on health organisation and burn treatment.
In 1990, he embarked on a specialised journey in plastic surgery, beginning his training at Gata Medical Faculty. His expertise flourished between 1995 and 1997 when he served as a plastic surgery specialist at Çorlu Military Hospital. Following this, from 1997 to 2003, he took on the role of assistant professor at the Gata plastic surgery clinic, where he nurtured the next generation of medical professionals.
In 2000, he expanded his knowledge and skills by working at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center, delving into cancer reconstruction and skin malignant tumors for one enriching year. By 2003, his dedication and contributions to the field were recognised when he attained the title of university associate professor.
Today, he is a highly regarded plastic surgery specialist at Anadolu Health Center (affiliated with Johns Hopkins) in Istanbul and have been working his private clinic. Prof. Dr. Haluk Duman is not only a aesthetic & plastic surgery expert but also a subspecialist in hand and maxillofacial surgery. His professional affiliations include esteemed organisations such as TPRECD, IPRAS, the Aesthetic Surgery Society, the Microsurgical Society, the Surgical Infection Society, and the Burn Surgery Society. With over 30 original articles published internationally, his influence and commitment to advancing the field of plastic surgery are widely recognised.
